Upsher-Smith Donates 300 Pounds of Dry and Canned Food in Honor of Eid Al-Adha

In honor of the Muslim feast day of Eid al-Adha, Upsher-Smith held a food drive from July 8 (the day before Eid al-Adha this year) through July 29. Employees brought in dry and canned food donations—resulting in a grand total of almost 300 pounds—which were delivered to food-insecurity charity Second Harvest Heartland. Sponsored by the Upsher-Smith Operations Diversity Council, the drive was an opportunity to bring about two key traditions of Eid al-Adha: that of the sharing of meals and the handing out of gifts.
